Today Art Museum

The Today Art Museum in Beijing, is China's first private, non-profit museum. The museum's mission is to support the development of Chinese contemporary art.

Established in 2001, by Zhang Bao Quan, president of the Anteus Corporation, the museum moved to its current location, an abandoned beer factory, in 2004. After renovations, the museum opened with a solo exhibit of Fang Li Jun's art work.

The museum is extremely productive, with several major exhibits including: Zhou Qun Ya, Black-White-Gray, Tim Yip, Roger Pfund, Today Documents, and a National Student Awards exhibit.

The museum's current director, Zhang Zi Kang, leads the Today Art Museum's exhibition, academic research, and business development activity, including design, print and publication of art catalogues, the artnow.com website, photography and film production, gift shop and many other projects.
